Carla Valentino is a New Jersey Shore Area mixed media artist and art educator. She teaches Fine Art at Red Bank Catholic High School and is also an adult mixed media instructor at Colorest Art Supplies in Red Bank. Originally a painter, Carla works in a variety of media, including acrylics, watercolor, papers, prints, ink etc., most recently incorporating recycled materials especially plastic bottles, cardboard packaging, and found objects into her work.

She has participated in many shows and exhibits in and around the shore area and her work is in several public and many private collections.

Primary influences include nature, particularly the beach and ocean, personal history, the passage of time, as well as the basic elements of line, shape, color, and texture. The works of Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, and Robert Rauschenberg have also been significantly influential, among others.
